Q: How long have you been an advisor in this area?
A: Since 1981 in the investment advisory capacity.

Q: Do you have experience advising clients who have arranged planned gifts? For how many years?
A: Yes, through investment/estate planning for several years.

Q: Have you made arrangements for a personal planned gift?
A: Currently under consideration.

Q: What is your personal philosophy of philanthropy, and gift planning, specifically?
A: It is a vital element/responsibility (morally and ethically) within today’s society in which we live. We are all interdependent with varying financial means of giving. However, it becomes even more relevant in the estate planning process with individuals of greater financial circumstances who may be more fortunate. Personally, I believe wealth needs to be shared in areas to assist with personal growth and well being for others. Simply put, my philosophy is the more one has, the more one should give. I work closely with individuals and families to customize this direction according to their specific wishes and personal profile.

Q: Are you a member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners – locally and/or nationally? If so, for how long?
A: Not currently. I have attended a meeting locally.
